Applications are invited for a Master position in the Photonic Device Dynamics group (PDD) at the Cork Institute of Technology, Cork Ireland. The successful applicant will work at the Tyndall National Institute in a team of researchers and analyse a new mechanism to create a compact high power laser source of ultrashort pulses for possible applications in medicine, biotechnology, environmental sensing and communications. Applicants for this position should have a first or upper second class honours degree or a higher degree in physics, applied physics, electronic engineering, or related subject. Training opportunities will be provided to acquire appropriate and experimental and numerical research skills.
